Planning a split

On Friday 7/9 I’ll be making attempting to make split if I can find the queen. If I can’t, I think I’ll hold off and try again on Saturday. I’m picking up a new Carniolan x VSH queen from Lucas Yule in Schuykill Haven on Sunday and want to get her in the split straight away so I want them to be queenless for a day or so before. I’ve already made a robber screen and I’ll be making a push in cage as well to hopefully get her on the comb immediately. I’m a little concerned about her flying though. Plan to ask opinions on clipping and maybe have Lucas clip her and maybe mark her before I get her.
